October 17, 2019 (Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City)- Anicia Felices Baluzo, a Rural Improvement Club (RIC) member of the Municipality of Daet and mother of the province’s singing pride Kimberly Baluzo bagged 2nd runner up in the prestigious Search for Outstanding Rural Women Regional Level during the Awarding Ceremonies of Gawad Saka and Rural Women Achievers 2019.
Mrs. Baluzo is a mother of three and a loving wife to Mr. Eduardo B. Baluzo. She joined the RIC in 2011 and remains an active leader of the organization at the age of 59.
She is a regular exhibitor of various agri-trade fairs of the province. She also acts as cooking demonstrator and facilitator of trainings conducted by Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).
As a farmer, she shares her skills, talents and knowledge to others. Their farm is an accredited training center for TESDA’s agricultural courses. She is also active in promoting various environment-friendly projects like clean & green and tree planting. Also, she encourages other women to venture into farming by providing seeds and other planting materials.
Truly, Mrs. Baluzo is one of a class, she really can be lined to outstanding rural women who can serve as model to the women of today.
