Another Information Caravan dubbed as “Coop School on Wheels” was conducted by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in partnership with the Cooperative Development Authority-Naga Extension Office (CDA-NEO) and Camarines Norte Government Workers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CNGWMPC). More than 100 managers, compliance officers and members of the Board of Directors from the different cooperatives of the province attended the event.
The said information caravan was designed to increase awareness /consciousness of officers and members on coop updates and its various cooperative programs. Personnel from CDA-NEO served as resource persons during the activity.
Several topics were discussed which includes the Cooperative Profile of the Province, Latest Issuances and Legal Matters (TIMTA/TRAIN), Koop Kapatid Program, Cooperative Business Matching Information System (CBMIS), Credit Surety Fund (CSF) and Gawad Parangal. Also, a guided workshop on the preparation of reportorial requirements was conducted.
Even though the participants are discommoded with the presented additional reports to be submitted to the CDA, they understood that it is needed for a smooth and legally compliant cooperative operation.
Due to the clamors of the cooperative movement to continue the said activity, it is expected to be conducted yearly by the Provincial Government through OPAg in partnership with the CDA.
